Instead, it appears to be angry that I strayed from our full face daily events and rewarded me with uneven tone, dull, dry patches, and—fun!—consistent red breakouts across my nose. I’ve been using this new formula—part chemical exfoliant, part toner, and part essence—for just a few days and already I’m seeing an improvement, especially in my face’s glow factor. Taking into consideration 30 years of research, this cult fave brand uses a proprietary mix of natural amino acids, vitamins, molecules, hydroxy acids, wasabi ferment, and white peony, all of which work in tandem to exfoliate, boost brightness, and hydrate.

I've never been one to swipe a sparkly product across my lips mainly as a result of I could never stand the gluey, sticky feeling. But let me assure you, this product is alternative. So let's start with the obvious: The brush does not look like any mascara wand I associate with fuller lashes. Its what BareMinerals calls a “paddle brush” given its flat back and packed, wiry bristles on the front. It's also a clean, wholly plant based formula, but its innovation doesn't stop there. On top of giving instant definition, thickness, and length, the formula also gives long run results, due to its being infused with a peptide serum that helps lashes grow longer and forestalls fallout. Gotta love a two in one product that really delivers.

My coffee obsession hasn't been specifically kind to my teeth over the years, but every time I've tried to commit to a whitening routine, the merchandise either feel like an excessive amount of work or they do not give enough of a payoff. So when I heard Crest has been working on the era for its new whitening emulsion—a formulation that seems like a gel but has the ability to penetrate deeper to tackle yellowing for your teeth—for almost 20 years, it got my attention. Putting it on is far easier than a whitening strip. You just squeeze a little of the formulation out of the tube onto the applicator and spread it on your teeth.


The bendy tip of the applicator lets you get into the nooks and crannies where classic strips or brushes can't get to, and there is also an on the go version that allows you to put the product on at once from the tube. I've been using it twice a day—morning and night—and feature absolutely seen a difference in my smile. When I got an email introducing me to “the best clean shampoo you’ve never heard of,” I was immediately intrigued and began doing my research. Now I wonder what rock I've been living under. Enter Masami, which claims to provide your hair “massive levels of botanical hydration with out weighing it down. ” I’m happy to say it’s true. Washing with its shampoo and conditioner reminded me of when my mom used to bathe my hair as a kid, with a smell ever so simple and pure. And my hair—which is so heavy thanks to not having a haircut in six months—felt lighter than ever.


But that’s Masami’s goal. It’s formulated with the ocean botanical, Mekabu, and ingredients like japonica laminar, blueberry extract, aloe, and grapeseed oil. Plus, it’s sulfate , phthalate , paraben , and cruelty free. At $38 each for the shampoo and conditioner, it’s by no means cheap, but thinking about all the money I’m saving on blowouts, I’m happy to justify it. —Jessica Radloff, West Coast editorI've lately switched to double cleaning only in the evenings to make sure I'm not stripping my skin of much needed hydration now that we've officially transitioned into fall. This balm has a sorbet like texture that directly starts to soften should you put it on and a gentle scent that's a bit grainy, a bit floral thanks to the mix of rice bran and chrysanthemum and typical very delightful.


On a pure experiential note, there's whatever very fun about slicking your self in oil and becoming a human strobe light for a moment. Historically, clean mascaras have been some thing I've wanted to like, but none ever really get the XXL type volume and lift I want. Then Kosas came along this month and put an end to the problem. This formulation has the same thickness of big time best dealers, and amplifies your lashes with the same intense fluffiness.


It did move a little after the first 15 minutes—which is not a deal breaker for me; all my favourite volumizing formulation have some fallout—but after a short touch up, it didn't smudge again. My skin needs a complete army of products and a spironolactone prescription to keep it in check, but to make up for it, I was rewarded with hair that takes very nearly zero maintenance.


Because of that, I've never put much theory into the products and tools I use, usually picking anything is cheapest or easily available to me. But the second I used this Harry Josh brush, I understood that luxury tools can really make a difference. The mix of nylon and boar bristles works on both wet and dry hair, and it gently detangles and smooths without making my waves frizz and fray. It's also best for backcombing second day hair. Even though I haven't had a trim since March, it makes my hair look freshly styled, and at $50, it's still fairly cost-efficient compared with most luxury brushes. It's my new invariably brush.
